1. How Women are Using Crypto to Empower Themselves and Their Community?
In celebration of International Women’s Day, GoodDollar turned the spotlight to women in the ecosystem to answer an important question: “How are women using crypto?” Women account for 28% of the GoodDollar community — an impressive 200,000 women out of 712,000 members.
Earlier this year, GoodDollar teamed up with Blocksurvey to carry out a voluntary survey among 5,000 community members, where 675 respondents identified as women. Moreover, 78% of women actively engage with web3 products and onchain activities.
The most popular activities among women included:
📲 Wallet-to-wallet transactions
🔁 Trading on DEXs
🔐 Staking in DeFi protocols
🖼️ Engaging with NFTs
But women’s impact in crypto extends far beyond participation.
Women are making waves by:
📚 Leading the charge in crypto education, with a third (34.7%) teaching their family and friends about crypto
💼 Venturing into entrepreneurship, with 5.7% launching businesses around G$
Seeing all this engagement, it’s clear why 44% of women see crypto as an opportunity that opens doors to financial empowerment.

2. Community Moderation Team Election
Every 6 months, the GoodDAO elects community moderators, who serve as the backbone for supporting the wider GoodDollar community. We’re thrilled to see the turnout, and after the initial assessment, 3 teams will move on as finalists to be considered for DAO voting.

Each team pitched on the community call on April 4th why they’re the best fit to serve the GoodDollar community. After the call, those in the DAO will vote on Snapshot for GoodDollar’s next community mod team.

The GoodDollar ecosystem saw major growth and activity this past month. Here’s a look at the latest numbers.
GoodDollar has proudly distributed a lifetime total of 3.4 billion G$ in UBI. Thanks to last month’s Celo invite campaign, which drove the majority of new users to the GoodDollar ecosystem, Ireland came leading in highest user sign-ups.
The GoodDollar community remains highly active and engaged, closing out March with 114,300 monthly active users. Speaking of activity, Singapore experienced the most significant increase in average transactions per user.

Chris led entrepreneurship workshops around the GoodDollar ecosystem for over 100 microentrepreneurs. Knowing how crucial it is to have ongoing support, Chris created a comprehensive educational guide teaching entrepreneurs how to utilize G$ UBI for financial empowerment.
