- GoodDollar is the #1 recipient from the Celo Retroactive Public Goods Program! 💛
GoodDollar has been recognized as the #1 Public Good Project leading impactful change within the Celo Ecosystem. This recognition comes directly from Celo Community Stewards through the CeloRPG0 program.
Retroactive public goods funding (RetroPGF) is a decentralized mechanism that delivers crypto-incentives to public goods projects based on impact.
This initiative, CeloRPG0, is designed to distribute 250,000 CELO tokens to projects based on their substantial contributions, and GoodDollar has been granted the largest allocation: 10,000 CELO. These funds will be strategically deployed to nurture continued impact, growth, and development.
Contributions to GoodDollar to Celo ✨
Since expanding to Celo in March 2023, GoodDollar has become the most widely used project on the chain, driving 49% of daily active addresses on Celo Q1 2024 and engagement across the ecosystem.

The impact of GoodDollar on Celo extends through seamless integrations with pivotal projects in the ecosystem. Integrations such as Halofi to embrace the world of DeFi, facilitating easy G$ swaps for mobile minutes through Fonbnk, interact with DeFi protocols like Uniswap or Ubeswap. Notably, G$ claiming has been integrated into MiniPay and Valora, allowing users to effortlessly claim G$ within these applications. And that’s just the beginning!

2. Gitcoin Grants 20 Recap 🌱
A huge thank you to everyone who supported GoodCollective during Gitcoin Grants GG20!
Grateful for the 130 donations that raised $734.44 and contributed to provide a total $10,000 USD matching funds.
The matching amount and contributions will be used to propel the development of GoodCollective, enhancing its climate impact and expanding segmented Universal Basic Income (UBI) capabilities.
