1. Gitcoin Grants 19 Recap
We’re so thankful for the 431 donors who collectively contributed a total of $1,405.79 to support our joint pilot initiative with The Solar Foundation.
Of the 431 donors, 213 contributed from an eligible Gitcoin Passport (exceeding a score of 15), making these donations eligible for quadratic fund matching!
If our mission to empower 50 Ugandan women through the provision of renewable solar energy systems, mobile phones, and digital UBI via G$ resonates with you, keep an eye out for more ways to support beyond the Gitcoin Grants round.

2. Prosperity Grants Program: Application Round Recap
We closed out application submissions for the Prosperity Grants Program with incredible participation from the wider GoodDollar community!
Let’s dive into some interesting trends from all of the applications we received:
- 140 grant proposals came from 30 countries
- Out of the 140 proposals received, 43 proposals made it to the next round!
- The Prosperity Grants Program offered 4 grant categories: Advocacy, Education Market Implementations, and Open Source Software.
- Out of the 43 qualified grant proposals, 20 covered Advocacy/Education, 20 covered Market Implementations, and 3 covered Open Source Software.

As November came to a close, the GoodDollar ecosystem witnessed a series of notable updates:
- An additional 17,526 new users, since October 2023.
- The equivalent of $19,570.68 USD in G$ UBI has been distributed to users over the last 30 days.
- New countries leading P2P Transactions on GoodDollar. In November, Indonesia and Bangladesh emerged as the top two countries in transaction volume.
- Ivory Coast, Singapore, and Cameroon rank among the top 10 countries with the highest transaction volumes on GoodDollar

RightfulShare’s Segmented UBI Pilot in South Africa with GoodDollar
RightfulShare, led by former SA Parliament Member, Karen Jooste, recently earned recognition as one of the most innovative projects in the blockchain space, by the Swiss/South African Innovation Challenge. An example of what can be built on top of GoodDollar, RightfulShare runs a local segmented UBI pilot using G$, in Gorblershoop, South Africa.
NEDUC Drives Circular Microeconomy in Coroadinho, Brazil, with GoodDollar
Founded by Christianne, NEDUC is a nonprofit that has established a circular micro-economy in Coroadinho using GoodDollar. Its mission is to uplift women through financial empowerment and education.
Christianne started a community store in her local favela, enabling locals to buy and sell handmade goods using G$. Recently, NEDUC expanded its impact by collaborating with DeTrash and GoodCollective on a recycling program, compensating participants with G$ for their climate-positive activities.
HaloFi Fridays in Nigeria
HaloFi hosted a HaloFi Friday in Lagos, Nigeria, bringing together the local ReFi community! The GoodDollar Community Manager, Progress, the GoodDollar Nigeria team, Celo Nigeria, and Minipay spoke on the panel.

In October, GoodDollar sponsored the Superfluid Wave Pool Hackathon, encouraging builders to think outside the box and create novel payment streaming solutions using GoodDollar on Celo — and we’re proud to say that participants DELIVERED.
From the gamification of Stream2Own NFTs to G$ streams to any identity tool, we’re so inspired by the diversity and ingenuity of the projects submitted.
