Endless Bop: 122 R&B Classics from the 90s, 00's
Love Jones Thursdays put some inspiration behind us, and Mistah Marvel has delivered!
It’s very easy to simply say that a song, or album is a classic. It’s grounds for debate on social media, at brunch, and in so many other settings, but the truth is the only way to know whether a song is a classic jam is to play it and see the reactions.
After hosting and taking part in FullMoon Branding’s Love Jones Thursdays on September 14, 2017 titled “The Ultimate Classics Edition”, we here at GoodKnocking got some inspiration to compile some of the jams that not only resound as timeless classics, but to dig up some other jams that aren’t always brought to the light but still are amazing for your R&B mood.
So tireless, and since just after Thursday’s event, we have been compiling and ordering our list of 90s and 2000’s R&B classics. And there are some very important things to point out before getting your R&B six pack in a cramp.
- Due to streaming wars, not all — specifically Beyonce — artists have their music on our platform of choice (Spotify).
- For musical purposes, we considered the 2000’s to end on this date ten years ago (Sept. 19th, 2007). With the 2000’s changing, and subsequently seeing the demise of R&B, things get funny across all genres of music.
- Our playlist is specific to Spotify and while we know we’ll get requests to create one for other platforms, please be patient.
So with over 122 songs, 9hrs of jams, we’re finally releasing our Ultimate Classics 90s/00s Edition for you via GoodKnocking Magazine.
