Well, it’s taking longer than I thought. Writing from scratch made lots of new hurdles along the way but finally I can show you a bit of what’s changing on GoodTask 3.

From the start and all along the way, whenever I needed to decide from one thing to another, I tried to think below question.

Will this help to get things done, or to get the project done?

Getting things done can be pretty well covered by default Reminders app and other well designed to-do apps as well. GoodTask needed to achieve more than that and I tried to focus on getting the project done as well. After all, that’s what made GoodTask special with calendars integrated right into a task manager.

Hence the biggest change that comes into GoodTask 3 is making it more project based with integrated calendar. That is,

  1. Day, week, month views are now connected to each lists.
  2. Lists get much smarter.

You’ll be able to make a list for a project with several Reminders lists and Calendars. Also you’ll be able to add more lists with filters depending on sub categories in certain project.

And you’ll be able to see each of them in lists, days, weeks and months. This will help you see the overview and the progress of each projects at a glance.

Here is a sneak peak of how it’s currently getting done. 2 screenshots below show list view of selected list and day view with whole new timeframe bar on top! :)

Hope to show you more soon. Your attention and sharing will make me do it sooner. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot! :)
