GoodTask 3 — Changes # 3
Whoa, it’s already 2016. Happy New Year everyone! Good news is that GoodTask 3 is getting better and better every day and it’ll definitely be worth the wait.
In this post, I’ll cover what’s changed in detail task’s page. On GoodTask 2, there were 2 views that you got for each task. One was normal detail view and the other was Quick Actions view which you can go into by long-tapping a task.
These 2 different views were not so intuitive especially because of long-tapping action that lead to whole different view. Long-tapping should normally give more menus or move things around. So I removed long-tapping action and changed everything.
On GoodTask 3, there is only one action that leads to detail page which is just a simple tap. Let’s see what it looks like.
Yes, this is it! New detail task page is made scrollable left and right which will lead you to dedicated view for Quick Actions and notes. It’ll be super easy to look through things with more detail and quickly change tasks if you need to.
If you look carefully at above screenshot, you’ll see number of things that have changed from GoodTask 2. First, Quick Actions now have no limits. You can add as many as you want and it’ll all be right there on your fingertips. Also there is now subtasks which can be added per task. Lastly you can easily move through tasks on the list by tapping arrows on bottom right.
One more thing. Now you can setup start date for each tasks! A task can have different start date and due date and the time between the two is shown by ‘Duration’. Simple visual display is on top which shows time left from now and duration between start and due date.
Tasks that have already started will be shown on current date’s lists even if due date is a lot further from now.
