Live Camera Feed Processing
GoodVision Video Insight system can work with video input from virtually any camera manufacturer. The advantage of live stream processing is that the actual image isn’t stored anywhere. Users can connect a video stream from the camera directly to Video Insights and schedule the traffic survey according to his needs. Here are the significant benefits it offers:
- Getting online updates about the analyzed traffic scene
- Planning traffic surveys in advance and even with recurrence. (Imagine you can schedule processing to cover the morning and evening peaks every day for a selected period).
- Collecting traffic data ‘on the fly’ eliminates privacy issues — you don’t need to store the sensitive data (videos) on your hard drives.
Scheduling a Traffic Survey From Remote Camera
Users can schedule a live-streamed recording directly to the platform, making everything even more automated and even more straightforward than manually uploading multiple videos. Live camera feed processing is possible by selecting the camera, name your scheduling parameters and set the camera location timezone. The scheduled recordings now set as per the selected timezone. Next, the user should configure how the live stream recording shall behave in case of the camera disconnection.
Furthermore, the user can schedule the recurrence of video stream processing. Imagine you can plan your traffic surveys, i.e. for the peak hours in the following weeks. In Video Insights, user can easily set up the live stream recording, e.g. every day or week from 7 am — 9 am and Video Insights will automatically process the traffic video streams and deliver the data to user’s dashboard!
Technical Requirements
Currently, Video Insights supports all RTSP and HLS public video streams with H.264 video format, minimum 5 FPS and minimum 320px x 240px resolution. User can test the video stream connection directly in Video Insights when creating a Camera folder with video stream option. Learn more about live stream processing in the tutorial here.
Pricing
GoodVision pricing models charges users per hour of video footage processed from 4 to 12 EURO per hour. User is getting full extraction of traffic data comprising of 8 classes of vehicles including pedestrians and bicycles. Besides, the user has access to the full range of analytical features in the platform — from traffic counting, through heat-map visualisation and reporting, to in-depth analyses of traffic metrics which allow for calculation of traffic model calibration parameters, saturation flows, etc.
