Here lays this weird object
In alley between
Two houses where people
Lived longest time in.
This weirdest thing laying
Was not there so long,
But maybe two hours
Until it was found.
Two kids chasing pigeons
Discovered it first,
They ran to tell grown-ups
And ask what it is.
The businessman passing
In suit with a case
Just glanced at the object
And wondered for days.
A woman that almost
Put feet in the thing
Jumped up in the air
To avoid sticky snare!
This dog came out sniffing
A smelly new flare
It sniffed out the object
And did not stay there.
When the old lady saw it
She froze in her shoes
‘How dare people making
This kind of excuse?!’
You might have been thinking
What’s that thing of a gun?!
The answer is simple:
It’s just a piece of chewed gum.
