An Unpleasant Surprise at the Feast
A funny poem

The classical music
Echoes throughout
The room filled with people
Cheerfully loud.
When all have been seated
Food starts to come in.
It’s carried by waiters
Faking their grin.
All kinds of the dishes
Land among guests.
They fill empty places
Until none is left.
The cheerful start sharing
To the left and the right
Meat, salads and gravies
Passes from far.
The lady in white dress
Narrows her eyes,
When chewing the meatball
stops in surprise.
Two boys that behaved well
Badly react,
When taste unexpected
Causes a gag.
The talks of suspicion
Fills all of the place
That food has been salted
to ruin its taste.
