We Never Lose Hope

To find something new in the fridge

I opened my fridge
In big hopes to find something edible.
I quickly can see,
There is nothing that makes me rejoice.
Then I simply move on
And my tongue gives an order for sweet things.
I open the closet
Where I keep the bread hidden from him.
Someone has too much hair
And likes weirdest places for sleeping.
Because he’s a cat,
My explaining was just as complaining,
