Google Cloud, formerly known as the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), recently held its annual technology conference — #GoogleCloudNext22 to launch their latest capabilities as well as create a buzz on their future plans!
It happened online as well as offline in different parts of the world.
As an avid Google Cloud Data Engineer, had the opportunity to attend this niche tech conference in Bengaluru, thanks to my employer Fractal Analytics and got a chance to meet the event’s keynote speaker — Cloud Girl — Google Leader — Priyanka Vergadia famous for her cartoonistic Google Cloud sketch notes and also Justyna Gnyp — Asia Pacific Relations Lead !!!
Google hosted the conference with a world class standard as their flagship event and really enjoyed the conference and its quite a good learning experience for me!

⚫ Major breakthrough on BigQuery to support unstructured data analytics capabilities for audio, video files, and streaming data
⚫ BigQueryML models can be integrated with VERTEX AI pipeline
⚫ SPARK workloads can be executed on the BigQuery interface itself and introduced fine grained data governance
⚫ Log Analytics feature newly released in Cloud Logging
⚫ Now the Architectural Diagramming tool generates Terraform code in the background on top of one-click infrastructure deployment
⚫ Data Studio has been renamed as Looker Studio
⚫ Looker Studio — Pro as a paid version that will soon be launched with enhanced features
⚫ The option to launch Looker within Google Cloud will be available soon
⚫ SPARK Jobs can also be executed in Dataplex
⚫ SPARK tasks can be run in the VERTEX AI pipeline
As expected, Google Cloud Next22 once again proved that BigQuery is Google Cloud’s flagship tech-stack by offering advanced integrations with all other services and additional capabilities to perform new stuffs !!!
