Google Developer Groups (GDG) On Campus India, a vibrant community of young developers, has taken a significant step towards shaping this future through the successful Gen AI Study Jams initiative. The Gen AI Study Jams campaign was exclusively curated for the GDG On Campus community in India to explore more about the world of Google Cloud and Gen AI.
The campaign phased in 2 cohorts, in the month of October and November.
Empowering Students Across India
Hundreds of GDG On Campus organisers in India, stepped up to participate in the Gen AI Study Jams to explore more about the world of Cloud Computing and Machine Learning. Through this campaign, the organisers not only upskilled themselves, but also helped hundreds of students on their campus with the campaign curriculum.
The campaign provided exclusive access to hands-on learning experience on Google Cloud Skill Boost platform for the enrolled participants of the campaign! That’s not all — several institutions will also be receiving rewards upon successfully completing milestones of the campaign!
The Gen AI Study Jams empowered over 60,000 students across 500+ engineering institutions in India with the essential skills and knowledge to navigate the complex landscape of Google Cloud and AI.
What makes us proud is the dedication of the Organisers who participated in the campaign in no time after their onboarding as Organisers of the GDG On Campus program and navigated through the challenges of the campaign, showcasing great examples of leadership and passion for communities! :)
Key Highlights of the Gen AI Study Jams:
- Comprehensive Curriculum: A well-structured curriculum covering Google Cloud fundamentals, Gen AI, Vertex AI and fun with Gen AI Arcade Game! Explore more about the curriculum here.
- Expert Mentorship: Weekly training sessions by experts at Google for the GDG On Campus Organisers to further empower participants in their campus with knowledge gained during the training sessions. Trainers Bhabani Mahapatra Hemandand Rajendran AI Solutions Consultant at Google trained the GDG On Campus organisers with hands-on code lab experience and real life examples of Google Cloud and AI usage.
- Strong Community Building: Fostering a collaborative and supportive community among participants led by the GDG On Campus Organisers. The Organisers worked hard for more than a month, to gather interests, helping the participants enrol for the campaign and clarify course concepts!
The Road Ahead: Solution Challenge India 2025
Building on the success of the Gen AI Study Jams, Solution Challenge India 2025 is set to launch in January. This exciting challenge invites developers to create innovative solutions using Google technologies including Google Cloud and AI to address real-world problems.
