Google Cloud Cross-Cloud Interconnect: Almost everything you need to know
As part of the Google Cloud Interconnect family, Cross-Cloud Interconnect was added. Now it’s new, like really new at the time of writing so here are the things you need to know.
Where it fits?
This fits in as part of the Cloud Interconnect family. Cloud Interconnect provides stable connection to your on-premises and is available in Partner and Dedicated options. Cross-Cloud interconnect is perfect for multicloud environments where stable and high speed connections are required between different clouds.

In this blog the product is introduced and you get an idea of the portfolio, early adopters and other cool services like Private Service Connect.
What is it?
In a nutshell Cross-Cloud Interconnect allow you to establish a direct connection to other cloud providers (through a colocation). The link offered is a high-speed link that starts at 10GB or 100GB. This is perfect for lift and shift situations or multicloud deployments, where speed and reliability are important.
