How to create Google Container Engine (GKE) using the Google Cloud Platform Console

Quickstart for building Kubernetes cluster

To Build any Google Container Engine we required Google Cloud Platform Project, If project already created, we can directly create Container Engine inside that Project. [or to create project ref: Google Cloud Platform Project ]

a) In Product & Service tab, click on “Container Engine”.

b) Click on “Create a container cluster”.

c) Provide valid Cluster Name, Zone, Machine type, size of worker nodes and click on “Create”.

d) Now our cluster is created, to connect cluster through ‘kubectl’, click on ‘‘connect”.

e) copy ‘gcloud container’ command.

f) Click on “Activate Google Cloud Shell” tab.

g) paste command which we have copied in ‘step e’, now we have configured kube-config and we can access cluster through kubectl commands.
