Why this cashback tracking template?

Last month, a classmate let me in on how brands in Germany offer 100% cashback on products.

So far, I’ve found these offers on

• kostenlos.de or mydealz.de (under “Geld-zurück-Aktionen”)
• the DM app (ignore the “Geschenk für dich”, instead look for “Geld zurück für dich”) — which sometimes points you to the ForMe website.

To promote their new product, increase product familiarity, increase brand awareness. Whatever the reason.

All I hear is: “free product.” Game on.

There is a cost, and price to pay: your data.

But let’s be real: unless you ditch your computer, phone, delete your social profiles, and go live off-grid with a couple of geese, you’re sharing your data online anyway, all the time.
