Our final result: a spreadsheet that gives you ready-to-post Instagram and Facebook posts, without the extra manual work.

Why endlessly copy-paste or manually write out hashtags, tags and URLs if your spreadsheet can do this for you? Follow this walkthrough to prepare Instagram and Facebook captions, but with less work.

In this walkthrough, we are combining VLOOKUP and CONCATENATE formula to insert repeated text for us. We will utilise part of an existing Google Sheets template to build upon. I removed tabs from the original template and left only the ones we will use.

Note: I use the words cell and field interchangeably. The same with sheet and tab. Ultimately, we’re using one spreadsheet, and in this spreadsheet there are tabs, so I prefer to call them that.
