Do you want to get a grip on your finances, but you feel overwhelmed and have no idea where to begin? This template may give you a starting point.

Every year, I update all templates in the Google Sheets Geeks publication. On offer this year are two versions:

  • The regular version you’ve seen before, updated for 2022.
  • And an upgraded version. I added two tabs to this one: one tab is for subscription plans deducted at bi-monthly, tri-monthly intervals, or just once per year. Now that these expenses live on a different tab, the ‘Overview’ tab is less cluttered. You also won’t need to scroll down as much. The second tab is to keep track of freelance income and invoice statuses.

Both totals for subscription plans and freelance income are summed up and neatly displayed in one field on the ‘Overview’ tab in rows 3 and 9.

Is this template suitable for you?

  • You have one or several sources of income
  • You live in a place where you can’t pay for everything by card. Otherwise…
