Make a change: participate in the #AssistantForGood European Challenge

We’ve recently launched Google Assistant For Good, a European Challenge that aims to bring the power of Google Assistant to those who can make the most out of it.

In order to do so, we collaborated with NeMO — a highly specialised Italian hospital taking care of people affected by neuromuscular diseases — and launched a call for ideas to find solutions that could make the life of people with these pathologies a little bit easier.

Through the application of the Google Assistant technology, with your help and generosity of ideas, we hope to address some of the challenges that negatively affect people with neuromuscular disorders and make their life a little bit easier.

To give some context, 3 main areas where Google Assistant could make a difference have been identified, but participants are free and welcome to find new needs to solve for.

🙋🏻‍♀️ Who can participate?

We’re looking for developers and anyone with technical skills or expertise in the Google Assistant technology, from all over Europe, are welcome to participate in the challenge about innovative solutions in the field of neuromuscular disease.

Also, you can use this opportunity to learn about Assistant at the same you help develop ideas.

🗓 When and how?

Sign up here as soon as possible to participate in the challenge. You will then have until 30 November to submit your project. The winner will be announced during the week of 16 December.

✅ Evaluation criteria

Two main points: impact, both in terms of how well the idea ideas actual needs and also how many people can make use of it, and innovation, how does the proposal leverage Google Assistant technology in a new and creative way to tackle the identified issue.

🏅Winning project

A NeMO-Google committee will select a panel of finalists and, amongst those, the winning project. Finalists will be invited to an award ceremony to be held in Milan in the period between 16 and 20 December, to be confirmed. The winning idea will be announced during the award ceremony.
