The logistic industry is an important segment of any economy and it is an essential component for upgrading and facilitating primary, secondary, and tertiary industry tiers. At present, the service industry in the US, Japan and other developed countries has accounted for more than 70% of GDP. In the developing countries like China, the proportion of service industry in GDP has been hovering around 40% for many years. The proportion of finished goods transportation in China is only 18% and the same ratio in developed countries is about 60%.

For the further development of the industry organization is required and the industry data is the key. Goose Q is developing data gathering infrastructure for these needs. For an instance, Goose Q is to provide the following solutions:

- Avoid large and repeated IT investment in the logistics industry

- Reduce the friction of data flow in the logistics industry

- Create a neutral, credible and robust data storage environment for the entire logistics industry

In order to so, Goose Q is gathering the following types of data:

1. Geo-location, including information like time, GPS latitude, speed, etc.

2. On-road multimedia, including pictures, videos and .

3. Identity data such as user’s personal or legal person, specific vehicle information.

4. Platform activity.

5 Vehicle status, such as insurance, fines, etc.

6. Logistics documentation, such as invoices, receipts, etc.

Goose Q is developing the following infrastructure to efficiently cope with the industry needs:

  1. Multimedia and geo-location data are the heaviest ones and to be stored on IPFS. To ensure credibility, hashsum of that data are to be stored on a blockchain.
  2. Logistic documentation is very important and quite light, so it will be stored on a blockchain directly. Goose Q is developing system where only related business stakeholders can access the relevant data, for the rest it is encrypted.

3. Platform activity data is less important, so it will be stored on a hot cache for some time and after relevant reports are created for that data, it will be deleted.

4. Vehicle status information and identity are relatively small and these types of data requires modification time to time, so the two types will be stored on a centralized storage.

Mr. Zhao’s (Goose Q CSO) speech at Global Automotive Industry Forum, 2014

Goose Q is a blockchain solution for the global logistics industry with more than 10 years of development history. Goose Q’s main purpose is to provide a visual, verifiable, credible, traceable, anti-fraud, immutable data of the logistics industry in order to enhance its efficiency and transparency as well as to improve truck drivers’ financial and psychological wellbeing.
