GORAN VISNJIC AND THE ENTIRE CREW OF “GENERAL” MOVED TO THE LIVNO COUNTRYSIDE

Goran Visnjic and the entire film crew moved from the mountain Velebit to the countryside of Livno, where they will proceed with the shooting until March 5th. After filming the first scenes of the film “General”, the film crew switched locations and loved from the slopes of southern Velebit to Opuzen where the outside lobby of the Merlot hotel served as a space for their dressing rooms and makeup. The hotel employees took the opportunity to photograph with the Croatian-American actor Visnjic who is playing the lead role of General Ante Gotovina. Later, the movie set moved to the area of Livno where they are supposed to stay until March 5 this year.

Due to the fact that General Gotovina spent part of his war duties serving as a commander in the Livno battlefield, the Minister of Interior Affairs, and a representative of the Coordination of Veterans Associations gave the production team members some worthy background information. The city’s Mayor always promised the Croatian filmmakers his full support and assistance for the realization of this demanding project.

Nineteen weeks since the start of the shooting, hundreds of actors and several thousand extras at numerous locations, are just some basic information about this mega spectacle “General”, a full length film and television series of eight sequels, which will tell the story about the life and wartime spend days of the most famous Croatian General Ante Gotovina. The director of the project is Antun Vrdoljak, and the screenplay is based on Nenad Ivankovic’s book “Warrior, adventurer, and general”.

The famous actor Goran Visnjic will play the General, and apart from him, the audience will also see many famous Croatian actors. The assistant director position was given to Kristijan Milic, also known as the director of the film “Number 55,” the HRT war film that deals with the theme of the Homeland War. The shooting will last from 20 February to 20 July, and the broadcast of the television series is planned for 2018. The audience is enthusiastic and eager to see their favorite actor Goran Visnjic in yet another great role.
