Josh Bersin is one of the world’s leading researchers in the field of talent management. Every year he publishes programmatic articles about the main trends in the field of recruiting. He told the Harvard Business Review about his main ideas this year, and we decided to check whether GoRecruit is moving in the right direction.

Josh states that recruitment is the most dynamic part of HR at the moment, and this is due to the amount of data that is collected during the recruitment process and to the high competition in the labor market. First of all, the technologies of searching for candidates are changing: to find people online now is at times faster, and companies need technologies that allow them to do this. GoRecruit processes job seekers data from social networks and other open online sources. We are in trend!

The second emerging area that Josh Bersin distinguishes is candidate management. He focuses on the fact that with a large number of applications for open vacancies, it is most advisable to use software that can evaluate the resume and select the most likely candidates. Josh says that the traditional way — to call a candidate and invite for an interview — is not very useful not only because of the enormous time costs, but also because a very small number of people know how to conduct such interviews on a large scale really well and competently. GoRecruit combines a technological and traditional approach: the service gives the candidate a rating, and the recruiter himself can already invite only the best to the interview and, therefore, to conduct an interview with a higher quality.

One of the trends of HR, according to the researcher, is software for building communication between people and vacancies suitable for them: good candidates may be suitable for different positions, not only for those they are looking for themselves. There is a shift in the direction of evaluating candidates on the basis of their profile, rather than experience at a particular job. One of the directions for the development of GoRecruit is the job recommendation system for the applicant; besides, the service takes most of the data for evaluating a candidate from public data, and not just from the work experience described in the resume.

Thank you, Josh! We have once again seen that GoRecruit meets the immediate needs of the HR industry and is a useful and modern product.
