The Internet is Pretty Nice
I gotta admit it
This idea that’s going around with all my hippie friends, the ol’ I’m off-line line? Like no FB, X… nothing.
I’m not in that camp.
I guess I just hate nature.
And would rather suckle the teat of the internet all day.
Now remember, I’ve always been like this my whole life.
You don’t know how many times I enjoyed staying home from school to watch a marathon of TV on those awesome TV stations from New York City.
It wasn’t just Saturday Morning Cartoons I was watching when I was a kid!
I remember all my five year old and seven year old friends saying they were only allowed to watch Sesame Street.
I remember watching Beverly Hills Cop on my 10th birthday and my parents going back and forth on whether this was the right birthday present for me and I just sat there ignoring them, paying attention to the magical comedian named Eddie Murphy, Rated R cursing from beginning to end, and we all watched the whole thing as a family.
One birthday I got a look-a-like BMX bike in yellow and black.
No ribbons and I loved that thing.
Along with a BoomBox I got on another birf-day.
I like the internet. It is cool.
I want to be like the internet when I grow up.
And just remember…Lots of times those ghost noises and bigfoot knocks you’re hearing is just someone you never knew lived there, paying the rent, like the landlord forgot to tell you about your neighbor! You can always go introduce yourself if they get too loud! Tell ’em you’re out of sugar!
