The 13th annual Sydney Latín American Film Festival (SLAFF) is back this year from 6 to 15 September. As every year SLAFF organisers are bringing to Sydney a variety of contemporary Latín American films from Cuba, Uruguay, Perú, Panamá, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia and México.

The opening night starts the Festival with Spider Thieves (Niñas Araña), a true story about a group of teenage girls thieves, that shows the inequality that is lived in Chile. The movie will be following their inaugural gathering of music and culture at Café del Mar in Darling Harbour.

The Festival will close with the documentary-feature, Rubén Blades Is Not My Name (Rubén Blades no es mi nombre) that highlights the life of Latín American New York salsa icon Rubén Blades.

Check out the festival full program HERE.

We are planning to go to ‘New Female Voices’ on Tue 11 Sep at 6:30 pm. Please express your interest of coming to this movie with our team by sending us an email to: hola@gospanish.com.au
