Today, we added a single new feature to Synth — downloading.

Not only can you download an individual Synth (with an intro chime appended). You can also download an entire Synth Podcast (with multiple Synths). Our tool stitches together all Synths within the podcast as a single audio file. So you are truly assembling a podcast in bytes.

No editing required!

You can take it, host and distribute wherever you like.

We’re releasing it today to support our users participating in the NPR student podcast challenge. Now they can use Synth to submit their final content according to the challenge rules.

In addition, we’re launching a sister competition.

NPR requires entrants to be 5th grade or above. But we know that K-4 students shouldn’t be excluded from this great activity. Their voice matters, and they are capable of producing interesting work.

In addition, NPR’s competition closes on March 31st and has a lot of rules to consider that could be overwhelming. So we wanted to provide an option for teachers and students that want a bit less complexity and a little more time to participate.

Winners of our competition will be featured within the Synth community and receive a sponsored pizza party for their class.
