As we get closer to the event we wanted to share updates on our planning and decisions.

What have we done this week

Ticketing went live this week so we’ve been busy telling anyone who will listen!

Ticketing

We had some issue with ticketing, mainly that Google Forms isn’t accessible from some work devices. We’ve been investigating other possible options. If anyone knows of any secure, free and widely accessible form generators please let us know!

Comms

Now the ticketing is live we’ve been telling anyone that will listen. You can help spread the word by sharing our posts on Twitter and telling any colleagues who you think would like to attend.

Platform

We finally managed to get most of the organisers in one place to do a trial run of Hopin. It looks like a great tool for us. We had a few questions about it for the supplier but we think we have found the tool of choice!

On the day planning

With the platform nailed down we started to discuss more about the logistics of the day. Specifically what level of openness we wanted to promote. Did we want to restrict entry to certain topics or should it be open to all? How could we police that?

We also started to discuss the number of sessions and the length. How best to split the group. We will pick this up again when applications start to come through.

What are we going to do this next?

— Discuss further the strategy for the day and how it may be structured
— Look into the L&D opportunities we have
— Get the word out and encourage others to sign up
