Hitler’s Failed Beer Hall Putsch
In 1923 Hitler and his Nazi Party attempted to take power via an armed insurrection, but were thwarted by the police. Hitler was arrested, tried and convicted of treason.
He was released after serving only nine months of a five year sentence.
Many people thought that this failed Beer Hall Putsch and Hitler’s conviction for treason would be the end of his quest for power. They were wrong. It was only the beginning.
Hitler’s Alluring Promise To Make Germany Great Again
The German people ignored Hitler’s attempted insurrection. Instead they were excited by his vision of a rebirth of the Fatherland, money, prosperity, power, and the destruction of the Jew traitors who he told them had cost Germany the victory it deserved in the first world war.
The German people found Hitler’s message of hate, retribution, wealth and prestige in exchange for ceding power to him irresistible. They couldn’t wait to sell him their souls.
In only twelve years, pursuing those promises of blood, revenge and glory transformed Germany from a democratic republic into a conquered territory, invaded, divided and in smoking ruins.
The German people gave their souls to a hateful megalomaniac and they reaped what they sowed.
Trump’s January 6th Attempt To Overturn The Election
On January 6, 2021 Donald Trump fermented an insurrection designed to overturn the 2020 election that he lost by seven million votes and keep him in power. It failed and he was indicted for his part in the plot.
Some people thought that the attack on the Capitol and Trump’s subsequent impeachment would be the end of his political career. They were wrong.
Right-wing judges acted to prevent him from facing trial until after the 2024 election.
The central messages in Trump’s 2024 Presidential campaign were hate, retribution, wealth and glory in exchange for giving him power.
Will Trump’s Promises Work?
The question today is whether the American people, like the German people before them, will ignore Trump’s corrupt character, his lies, his subservience to Russia, and his attempted insurrection, and instead be so excited by his promises of an American rebirth, money, prosperity, power, and the elimination of America’s enemies within that they will return him to power.
Will The American People Sell Their Souls For Promises Of Hate & Glory?
Like the fools throughout history who have sold their souls to various incarnations of the devil, like the German people who almost a hundred years ago traded away their country for the visions of a sociopath megalomaniac, will the American people today sell their birthright for Trump’s promises of hate, retribution, and glory?
How Flawed Are The American People?
We will soon find out how many Americans are foolish enough, mean enough, greedy enough, fanatical enough or consumed by hate enough to trade their birthright for the toxic promises of this latest mean, corrupt, lying, dishonest, untrustworthy, Russia-loving, megalomaniac.
Please don’t be one of them.
