The biggest Blockchain conference in Europe has just ended and we can only say one thing, success! Officially spread over two days, the activities at the Malta Blockchain Summit however started on October 31st and ended on the evening of November 2nd.
After a very successful Delta Summit, back in September, and now the Malta Blockchain Summit, Malta is reinforcing its stance and aim to become the first country in the world to provide a coherent regulatory framework in the field of blockchain.
The summit hosted pioneers in the blockchain as well as many emerging companies in the cryptospace. Gozo was one of the exhibitors and ICO Pitch Participants at the summit. The team witnessed a great interest in Gozo coming from the public and connaisseurs especially after our co-creator, Ziad Nassar, pitched at the event on the first day. From a pool of 1,000+ investors, 18 savvy investors were on the judging panel for the ICO competition which boasted an $100,000 prize pool in partnership with d10e.
Our time at the show consisted of introducing people to Gozo, pitching, meeting key potential partners and investors, and assisting to the multiple talks and pannels happening around in relation with Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and how to build a solid infrastructure for your project.
Notable people were present at the summit, including Malta’s Prime Minister, the Honourable Joseph Muscat who announced three new decentralized ledger technology bills: (1) The Malta Digital Innovation Authority Act, (2) The Innovative Technological Arrangement and Service Acts, and, (3)The Virtual Financial Asset Act. Other big players present at the Summit include John McAfee, Co-Founder of McAfee Crypto Team & CEO of Luxcore, Deloitte’s EMEA’s COO, Anthony Day, and Sofia, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) humanoid among many.
