Nothing could be simpler than dealing with your narcissist. Follow these simple rules and everything between you will remain forever peachy.
Give without any thought to receive
This is a good biblical precept in any case and will work well for any narcissist. Be sure to fully celebrate their birthdays, work anniversaries, new puppies, whatever is important to them. And on no account hold your breath for this treatment to be reciprocated. Don’t be so churlish!
Don’t be such a clock-watcher
So what if they said they would be with you at 8pm? Good things take time, and in any case the party doesn’t actually start until the moment they walk into it. So cool your jets and spend the time usefully, polishing up those compliments which will need to be paid on their eventual appearance.
Wait your turn
Your narcissist has a busy life, which absolutely does not revolve around you. Quite the reverse. If you are temporarily put on a back-burner, don’t get all whiney about being “ghosted”.
