A Tale of Social Hierarchies

By way of background, let’s just mention that the lizard-born weren’t always known as such. They passed themselves off as human, right up to the point where they had consolidated power and control irrevocably into their own hands/claws, at which juncture they literally shed their human skin, let out a big sigh of relief and picked up the reins again.

On the other hand the Droid caste was originally human, comprising that part of humanity which pushed technology furthest and fastest, and used it to exert maximum control over their fellow men. At which point they opted for virtual immortality by abandoning their human form and embedding their consciousness into more enduring frames. The Droids we encounter today on Erewhon, in this tiny corner of the Allegoria Nebula, are the self-same tech pioneers who made these interstellar journeys possible.

Where we are now

The Caste System of the Planet Erewhon would take a lifetime to understand in depth, but the principles are simple enough.

The pecking order is determined by a combination of race and profession, where the reptilian deities and nobility are always at the top of the heap, supported by their techno enforcers, whose armor is more ceremonial than practical, since their wars are fought at the cyber level.
