Live From Houston… It’s GHC

Good morning and good afternoon from Houston where the 2016 Grace Hopper Celebration is well underway. The George R. Brown Convention Center is full of the best and brightest technologists and the most incredible displays of companies from all around the world.

The morning started with a keynote at 9 a.m. CT where Telle Whitney, CEO and President of the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, got the entire Toyota Center inspired with her words on the future of technology. The women who have worked so hard to pave the way for new talent are excited and anxiously waiting to see the progress of this upcoming generation. We are all stewards of innovation and the foundation for the next generation is set — it is up to us take the lead and keep moving forward. To the newer hires and emerging talent, her advice is to learn all you can. To the more senior women, she expressed gratitude for the investment they have made to the advancement of not only the technology community, but the advancement of women in the industry. #invested

We are very excited to get underway here at the career fair! Come by Booth #2321 for some incredible (and charitable!) swag as well as opportunities to meet women from the 2015 Winner of the Top Company for Women Technologists!
