On May 30–31, I attended the Locate conference organized by Mapbox. It was a great way to kick-off research for my thesis. Some of the main focus areas of the conference were: Using AR at world scale for navigation, Maps for Autonomous Driving, Sensors and Location Data and Maps for urban planning, designing and managing cities
I got a chance to listen to some great talks by Timoni West (Unity), Di-Ann Eisnor( Waze), Manik Gupta( Uber), Amy Lee Walton( Mapbox), Jon Lax (Facebook), Brennan Boblett( Mapbox).
