Troran Brown continues professional basketball career in Switzerland

A former Montevallo Basketball star continues to shine as he signs yet another professional basketball contract. Troran Brown will now play for Fribourg Olympic in the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNBA) in Switzerland.
Brown heads to Switzerland from team Dundgovi in the Mongolian National Basketball Association (MNBA) and will finish the regular season with Fribourg in the LNBA. During his time with Dundgovi, Brown was selected to play in the 2017 Mongolian Super League All-Star Game as one of five players on the Legioners team.
Entering the professional basketball world with the Sarajevo Spars in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, he played in 17 games and averaged 9.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.5. In Brown’s one and only season with the Spars, EuroBasket named him the All-Bosnia and Herzegovina League Import Player of the Year.
Following his 2015 season in Bosnia, Brown played for the Rayos de Hermosillo in the CIBACOPA league in Mexico. He averaged 12 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. Before heading abroad, Brown worked out with the Bucks for the National Basketball League as one of six prospects following his May 2015 graduation from the University of Montevallo.
Brown is originally from Phoenix, Arizona and played three seasons with the Falcons. During his senior season Brown led the Peach Belt Conference with 19.6 points and 6.1 assists per game. Additionally, Brown was named a NCAA Division II All-American twice and Peach Belt Player of the Year in his final two seasons.
Brown leaves a lasting legacy at Montevallo as the fourth leading scorer in program history with 1,752 points in his three seasons. He also has the record for the most assists in Peach Belt Conference history with 574 assists.
