Can you imagine knowing ~ from the moment of your birth and throughout your life ~ that you are here for a very special purpose, that you have beautiful gifts to contribute to your community, that you are loved, that you belong?

Lore of the Soul Song

There is a legend about a beautiful and ancient tradition that stirs something deep within me every time I hear it or retell it. It is attributed to the Himba tribe in Namibia.

When a woman is ready to have a child, she tunes in to the essence of the child who teaches her their unique song. The woman then teaches the song to the man who will be the father of this child. They sing this song while the child is being conceived and throughout her pregnancy.

The woman also teaches the other women of the village the child’s song and, when she goes into labor, these women gather around and sing the song to her. This is the first sound the child hears as they enter the world.

As the child grows and even as an adult, if they get into trouble or lose their way, the entire village surrounds them and sings their unique song back to them.

Your Original Intention

This story speaks to the unique soul song of every individual ~ and the power that it carries to help us remember who we are, why we’re here, and that we are loved.

This soul song is what I call your Original Intention. It’s the notion that the multi-dimensional aspect of you had a magnificent vision and purpose for this incarnation of you ~ all that you wanted to learn, experience, heal, create and contribute.

And everything in your life ~ the specific moment and place of your birth, your family of origin, all your challenges and triumphs ~ are brilliantly designed to support you in fulfilling that original intention.

The Power of Your Original Intention

This original intention is infused into your DNA. Like an acorn that will grow into a mighty oak tree, it contains within it all the information and instructions for its unfoldment in its own unique way, in its own perfect timing.

Your original intention serves as an organizing principle, a central guidepost that has the power to attract all the people, resources, and opportunities you need to experience true fulfillment ~ to be and do all that you came here to experience and create.

As you come to understand this principle, and see the many ways it has played out in your life, your entire life shifts into a whole new octave. You no longer view yourself as a victim of circumstance, being tossed around like a rag doll in a swirl of chaos, struggling just to make it through and survive.

You realize that you are a powerful co-creator with life, that you are incredibly supported, and that you have something amazing and essential to contribute to the world.

The Need for Reflection

So why isn’t everyone simply tuning in and singing their soul song, thriving in joy, harmony and fulfillment?

Because we’ve forgotten. Because we’ve been conditioned for millennia to believe that we must look outside of ourselves ~ to people or institutions that are more knowledgeable or powerful ~ in order to survive, conform, and achieve “success.”

Because we’ve been taught not to trust ourselves.

When you choose to operate from within, in alignment with your own true nature, you are confronted by everything and everyone telling you to do the opposite. That’s why you need people around you who can reflect back to you your greatness, your innate gifts, and your original intention.

As this new and ancient way of being is settling in to your system, you need to be reminded of who you truly are and why you’re here.

You need to have your soul song sung back to you….

My entire life has been transformed as I have come to remember my original intention and live in alignment with my true nature. And I have seen incredible shifts in my clients as they have come to know themselves and discover their original intention ~ and the original intention of the businesses or initiatives that are being created through them.

Inspired by the lore of the soul song, and devoted to supporting the leaders of our emerging future to fulfill their mission and thrive, I have created a powerful 6-month group program called the Soul Song Sanctuary.

It is a nourishing incubator where you’ll come to know and love yourself deeply as you remember your original intention, and learn how to tune in to the original intention of all that is wanting to be created through you.
