This article is going to focus more on a science class, even though it covers many writing and literature standards it is focused more towards the science curriculum.

Excessive poaching might lead to the evolution of elephants without tusks.

The poaching of elephants for ivory, meat, and hide mainly, along with the uses of traditional medicine that many countries across the African and Asian continents. International trade and endangered species treaty the price of ivory has sky rocketed. In Mozambique, researchers are finding that due to the poaching of tusked elephants the line of elephants without tusks are becoming the dominant strain of elephant. Which is leading to elephants being born without tusks at all. If all the elephants with tusks keep getting killed then we will see a new strain on tuskless elephants.
