Robots in the Classroom

Using robots in the classroom can come with many misconceptions. They could be seen as distracting and not containing much educational value. The educational value of these robots are tremendous. They allow are students to step into the world of coding and other technologies that are beginning to shape the world around us in a lot of things we use today. Students today have a better concept of coding than I ever have and this is all due to the exposure to such technology.

A lesson that one could set up to use these robots would be a lesson on computers and coding. I know the elementary school here in Dillon does coding hours during there computers time using these robots would be a fun alternative to using basic coding practice websites.

These could also be introduced during a math lesson because math, robots and coding all go hand in hand. Understanding basic math concepts is the center piece to understanding how to code effectively.
