GoDaddy, the most popular web domain & hosting company is venturing into telecommunication after they acquire FreedomVoice last year.

Just today, they released this new app called SmartLine, which ultimately want to give you another mobile number for work purpose. According to the survey conducted by GoDaddy, 86% of working professionals are using their smartphones for both work and personal calls, but they are not keen to give everyone their personal mobile number.

Available on IOS & Android

This is where SmartLine comes in to give you a second number that can be managed in an app on IOS & Android devices. Right now you can have the ability to fully configure SmartLine from the mobile app without visiting the website and set business hours( so calls that come in during non-office hours will go directly to voicemail) and you will receive a voice mail transcriptions.

Barry Saik, GoDaddy’s senior vice president and general manager of telephony, highlighted that SmartLine app can bring all your interaction with someone such as voice & text together in one single interface.

There are more features

Well, GoDaddy aware that you might need more features like vanity numbers, toll-free numbers and sharing a single phone number between multiple employee’s cell phones, which can be added to your plan.

A SmartLine with unlimited calling and texting costs USD$13.99 per month. Currently, you can receive calls from any phone number, including phone numbers outside of U.S. At this time, you can make calls to U.S. phone number only.
