Grasruts bags 1st Runner Up At Hult Prize
Hult Prize, is a challenge for young people to solve the world’s toughest issues by empowering them to make money, do good and make life better for millions of people through the creation of for-good for-profit businesses.
Pitching for Grasruts at Hult Prize gave us hope. The hope that Grasruts desperately needed.
We are not accepting any campaigns as of now. We had to decline couple of campaigns that was published in Grasruts. It felt awful because the purpose of Grasruts is to give entrepreneurs and artists a platform to raise fund for ideas that they believe in.
We have a good reason for not accepting any campaigns for now. We figured having an international payment gateway would make things much easier for authentic campaign owners to raise fund.
Without much activities in Grasruts, I felt like Grasruts was a lost cause. I felt our effort for promoting crowdfunding in Nepal went in vain.
There is certain thing that we dont have control over and there is nothing we can do about it. We did and still doing things that are in our control to bring crowdfunding in Nepal.
