General Data Protection and Regulation (GDPR)

The aim of the GDPR is to protect all EU citizens from privacy and data breaches in today’s data-driven world.

  1. This Regulation lays down rules relating to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and rules relating to the free movement of personal data.
  2. This Regulation protects fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons and in particular their right to the protection of personal data.
  3. The free movement of personal data within the Union shall be neither restricted nor prohibited for reasons connected with the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.

The GDPR Regulation brings some key changes about how we have to manage personal data and how we can guarantee data protection.

To fulfill those GPDR requirements AM 2.5 comes with new features related to Consent Management and Logging Management.

From the beginning, Access Management allows you to add an approval step to your Authentication Flow with a customizable user consent dialog asking users if they want to accept to give an application access to their data.

Until now, approvals remained in the data storage and no one was able to ask for review or delete those data. AM 2.5 brings new functionalities about consent management and let users see and also withdraw consents.

Audit Log

The GDPR requirements prompting the need for audit logging according to several Article. For example, a data protection implementation must have the ability to prove manageability and traceability of actions taken against data.

Companies should be able to capture security events in the form of audit logs to be able to confirm if a breach has taken place, or should be able to know if processing personal data has been done under user consent. AM 2.5 offers audit trail feature to track access and modifications. Logs can be filter by action type, actor and for a specific timeframe.
