Today marks a proud and happy moment for us, bringing you v3 of the Gravitee.io API Platform.

Some of you will probably be asking, “Am I missing something? Where is my Gravitee.io 2.x?” Do not fear.
The reason we have opted for v3 is quite simple: alignment of our component versions (API Management / Access Management) versions. This is far more than just a simple numbering upgrade. A large portion of our work for this release has been focused on aligning and fully integrating all Gravitee elements to provide our one holistic API Platform.
So we chose to bring together API Management 1.x and Access Management 2.x to a unified v3 of the Gravitee.io API Platform.
One of the great powers of Gravitee is that despite the alignment, you still have the flexibility to choose the product offering that fit your needs best, whether that be API Management, Access Management, Alert Engine or Cockpit. Our focus is to provide you with the best platform with the most suitable options to improve your API journey, in terms of management, lifecycle, security, monitoring…
What‘s new in Gravitee.io v3?
Some exciting features have been added for this new version.
Most notable are:
- A brand new API Portal
- Fully rebranded and unified Management UI
- Improvements to the Dynamic Client Registration workflow between APIM and AM
- Analytics and dashboard for AM
- MFA support
- Enhancements to API alerting
- Improvements to documentation of APIs to enable better discoverability
- Concept alignment for applications between APIM and AM
- Open Banking FAPI support
And so much more: Each product is coming with its’ own features and we recommend you take a look at their dedicated post to understand the new set of changes and features.

Tell me about the future
We have some exciting features scheduled for Gravitee.io API Platform 3.1 to 3.10 including our new Cockpit features and Policy Design Studio, both of which will help drive us forward as the easiest to use API Platform.
Enterprise-grade platform
You may already know about it, but if not, Gravitee.io are also providing additional modules and plugins as part of our Enterprise Platform.
One of the most exciting features is our real-time Alert Engine which allows dev, ops and business users to be notified of any event on the platform.
