Goodbye, my little fishy friend
I see your time is at an end
“I’m no expert,” I say, frowning
But healthy fish don’t upside-downy
(I doubt the cause of death was drowning)
You swam and sparkled and drifted and looped
And flashed and zipped and ate and pooped
You were a good little pet
God rest your soul
I’m moving you to a different bowl
So long, my friend
I’ll miss you much
With love, respect and sadness:
FLUSH.
