Ever been in one of those vulnerable places where it seemed as if there was nowhere out? A time when you felt in despair with no apparent side exit. In other words, just flat-out stuck?

That best described me last spring after I’d made the rash decision to travel to Las Vegas after a relationship breakup. And boy did it all backfire from there.

In short, I found myself wandering around Vegas with little money in my pocket and no place to stay.

In my infinite wisdom, I decided that the best place to circulate with my bags and only $55.90 in funds to my name was the luxurious Cosmopolitan Resort.

Certainly, as a 24-hour venue, there were plenty of places to wander and get lost in the crowd.

“Just keep moving,” I kept telling myself. “It’s all going to be OK.”

Then the thought occurred to me, “Where am I going to sleep?”

Because here’s the scoop about The Cosmopolitan and other gaming resorts along the Strip.

Sleeping or even napping in a public area of the casino is strictly prohibited.
