Encarta 95: In the world of CD ROM encyclopedias in the 90s, they didn’t come any bigger. Think of Wikipedia, and then stop. This was nothing like it.

You really felt like you were (wherever this place was, at whatever time in which it was set).

and my dad, being the guy he is, decided he wasn’t paying that much for the extravagance of knowledge when you could get something similar for much cheaper…

Compton’s Interactive Encyclopedia: The only thing I learnt from this dark chapter of my life is that some things are worth paying for. I’m grateful for that lesson

Lyrics inside the CD cover: While my grades suffered from disastrously from it, learning the lyrics to “We didn’t start the fire” by heart opened up new doors for the 12 year old Charles. Mainly the door to the Principal’s office. Looking back I don’t think I’ve ever studied harder for something.
