Last week, I saw an article about a 106-year-old man who became the world’s oldest skydiver. Texan man Alfred Blaschke held the record in 2020, but 103-year-old Rut Lennéa Ingegärd Larsson took the title in June 2022.

Blaschke setting the record in 2020, when most of us were in quarantine and ordering DoorDash meals.

Rutt breaks Blaschke’s record. Both were 103 when they jumped, but Rutt was technically older by several days.

One 104-year-old woman, Dorothy Hoffner, made the jump in October 2023, but passed away about a week later…before Guinness could confirm her record. It does not appear that Hoffner was ever officially given the honor. Why not?
