A common problem for dog owners is their dogs digging up their gardens. They don’t mean harm; all in all they are doing a good thing, trying to clean up their own mess — only their own mess creates more mess which we humans are left to clean up the mucky grass. What if I told you there was a fool proof solution to this problem you’ve been finding yourself in day in day out?

If you didn’t already know, it’s dog-friendly week! Organised by The Kennel Club, the campaign was designed to change the country’s attitudes to the UK’s 8.5 million dogs. This week has many focused on encouraging restaurants, pubs, bar owners and companies to let dogs join their human companions throughout the day. Most dogs are left at home all day whilst we work, but The Kennel Club want this to change.

In today’s article, in celebration of dog-friendly week, we are going to be discussing the perks of artificial grass for our four legged companions. Many dog owners have the misconception that dogs prefer real grass to artificial turf, but the truth is that’s just us humans being fussy — in reality, grass is grass to dogs. All they really want is a bright green patch of softness to play in.

Dogs are simple; as long as they have a human to love and for that human to love them back, they will appreciate more or less anything you give them. Just think about all of the food leftover on your plate that you would rather go without — who eats it for you? The dog, that’s who. Ever noticed the happiness on your dogs face when you open the door to let them out of the house? Their huge leaps of joy into the wilderness and their glee from just being outside — we could probably learn a thing or two. It’s us humans that are the ones who see the benefit of artificial grass in relation to our pets.

We all know just how much dogs love rolling around in the grass, and with artificial grass, you won’t have to worry about them making a mess of your beautiful garden — no muddy patches in sight. And as mentioned before, if your dog likes to dig up mud and ruin your garden, you won’t have to worry about this problem with artificial grass. Our products are extremely tough so your dogs will soon become disinterested at the challenge of digging up the garden. Your dog won’t be able to mess your turf up in other ways either; thanks to artificial grass being permeable, urine drains through the turf surface and faeces can be easily removed.

One of the best perks of artificial grass is how easy it is to maintain. With no need to mow your lawn, your garden will remain in pristine condition forevermore, even with your pup running and rolling around it all day long. Another reason artificial grass is so easy to maintain is because there is no need to fertilise or weed your lawn using chemicals, so your dog can spend as much time as they wish to in the garden.

So if you are more of a home bird and would rather spend the summer in the garden as opposed to dog-friendly coffee shops and what have you, you’re in luck, because your pooch will enjoy their brand new artificial grass much more than a stuffy café with food they can smell but can’t eat.
