For Great Jones Street our mission is to bring great literary fiction to a wider audience. When we caught wind of Medium’s plans to help publishers do exactly that we jumped at it. As a long time fan and everyday reader of stories here I knew there would be support for great writers here. As the publisher I represent a dedicated staff of fiction lovers who have worked tirelessly over the past several months preaching this gospel to writers who might otherwise choose to publish their works in literary journals. Today, being a part of Medium’s announcement, feels like the culmination — a small step along the way, but a culmination all the same — of our efforts.
