Reading Miracles and Writing Woes
Writing Day 04
948 books!
That is how many books my 4-year old has read so far! She is remarkably close to finishing the “1000 books before kindergarten” and the knowledge seems to spur her on to read more.
Thanks to her, the little one has completed 100+ books too, and he just turned 1!
Reading miracles, in my mind.
A part of me despairs when this activity eats away into my reading sprees and writing streaks! Life with kids is truly time confetti!
But the proud mom part of me loves that my kids are building good habits that will serve them well over their lifetime! A sneaky part of me also points out that I got an interesting topic to write about, and the 1000 books brag-swag is amazing too! ☺
Until I figure out a way to sneak in more reading time for me, please send book recommendations for an active one-year old, preferably hard board books that he can’t tear easily!
