Metrics and hurdles

31 days left to the New Year, which means today is the halfway mark for my 60-day countdown writing challenge. This post is an analysis of my progress, metrics and lessons learned (from hurdles along the way).

Progress Metrics:

  • 20 posts written, including a 7-day continuous streak. Dramatic improvement, given I had not written any new posts since August.
  • I earned $4 in November, slightly better than the $1 I earned in the prior 3 months. Mixed emotions on this. The $-value is not a direct measure of the effort I put in, since I earned some money in the earlier months despite no work on the platform, (thanks to my earlier portfolio). Given what I make on my day job, the pay/hr is measly.
  • My views, follower counts and engagement increased, and the algorithm Gods seem to be taking notice of the daily inputs. So I expect this month’s earnings to grow higher too!
