The Michigan city of Ann Arbor, about an hour west of Detroit, popped up as a Potawatomi settlement along the Huron River. Today, it is most famous as the home of the University of Michigan, nicknamed “Tree Town” for its many forested city parks. Thanks to these parks, lovely trails along the Huron River, and many sidewalks, there are great places for running in Ann Arbor!
