Hiroshima, a city of 2 million people, has been impressively rebuilt after the devastating atomic bomb attack of August 1945. Many people visit the city for its Hiroshima Peace Memorial, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hiroshima is situated on the Ōta River delta, on Hiroshima Bay, facing the Seto Inland Sea on its south side. The river’s six channels divide Hiroshima into several islets. This interesting geography makes for excellent opportunities for running in Hiroshima.
