Lake Trail, Palm Beach

Palm Beach and Boca Raton are two of the tonier areas in south Florida. Palm Beach is a barrier island, featuring some of Florida’s most spectacular homes. It is also wonderfully walk-able. The two best running spots in the Palm Beach area are the Lake Trail and the running on Flagler Blvd., heading north or south of Royal Palm Way.

In Boca, runners tend to focus on A1A, along the water. Using Palmetto Park Rd. as an anchor, there is a good running path from Palmetto 3 miles south to Deerfield Pier, or 8+ miles north to Delray Beach. Good running on the beach here too, depending on tides.

For a complete guide to the best places to run in Palm Beach and Boca Raton, with 15+ routes, see the Great Runs website.
